Casner & Edwards Elevates Four Associates to Partner

BOSTON, MA, January 14, 2025 Casner & Edwards announces that the firm has elevated Jordan P. Bowne, Evey M. Diaz, Caitlin A. Romasco, and Russell J. Smith to partner effective January 1, 2025.

Bowne focuses his practice on all areas of trusts and estates. He works directly with high net-worth clients to design, structure and implement estate planning, and tax minimization strategies. Bowne’s practice also includes advising institutional and individual fiduciaries throughout the trust and estate administration process. He has experience advocating on behalf of trust and estate beneficiaries in resolving disputes with fiduciaries and other beneficiaries. Bowne also assists clients in pre-marital planning, including pre-nuptial agreements. He currently serves as a co-chair of the Public Policy sub-committee for the Boston Bar Association’s Trusts & Estates Committee, and is an adjunct professor at Suffolk University Law School.

Diaz is a seasoned family law attorney with over a decade of experience who has earned a reputation for guiding clients through the complexities of domestic relations and family law matters with compassion. Known for her client-centric approach, Diaz brings a wealth of experience and a steadfast commitment to clients. Her strategic and empathetic counsel has been instrumental in achieving successful outcomes in cases with intricate family dynamics. In addition to her legal work, Diaz serves on the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee and the Community Initiative Committee. She is also deeply engaged in advancing the field of family law as an active member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), an international organization dedicated to resolving family conflict. 

Romasco focuses her practice on commercial litigation. With over a decade of experience, she represents clients in all manner of complex business disputes. She handles cases involving closely-held business, contract, real estate, condominium law, employment, construction, professional liability, insurance coverage, product liability, premises liability and liquor liability. Romasco represents clients across a range of industries, including technology, manufacturing, hospitality, health care, insurance and construction.

Smith specializes in fiduciary litigation, including probate matters, guardianships, conservatorships, will contests, actions to remove personal representatives and trustees, and complaints in equity. Additionally, he has been appointed by the Probate and Family Court as a fiduciary in contested matters, including as conservator and personal representative. At the request of certain clients, Smith also handles domestic relations matters. Smith is a past President of the Boston College Law School Veterans’ Association. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marines as a Sergeant.
