Cosmo Karalolos focuses his practice on a wide variety of trust and estate matters. His practice encompasses estate and related tax planning, long-term-care planning and other elder law matters, probate administration, real estate, and fiduciary litigation. He also specializes in Medicaid planning and applications, estate planning for disabled persons, guardianship and conservatorship matters, and charitable planning.
Cosmo advises individuals and entrepreneurs looking to preserve generational wealth and designs strategic succession plans to meet their needs and goals. At the request of certain clients, Cosmo also serves as executor (personal representative) and trustee.
Cosmo is admitted to practice in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire and is a licensed real estate broker. Prior to joining Casner & Edwards, he was an associate at another Boston law firm, and more recently was an independent legal practitioner. Cosmo is fluent in Greek and is a classically trained virtuoso pianist.

- Prepared wills, revocable trusts, and irrevocable trusts for high-net-worth clients with basic and sophisticated provisions for tax planning including reduction of estate taxes and minimization of capital gains taxes when inherited assets are subsequently sold
- Represented clients before probate court on contested tax, trust and estate administration issues
- Assisted clients in creating charitable organizations and obtaining tax-exempt status, and advised existing private foundations and public charities on compliance with state and federal law
- Represented clients before the MassHealth Board of Hearings on contested Medicaid applications and Fair Hearing appeals
