BOSTON, MA, November 8, 2023 – Casner & Edwards Attorney Renee Inomata spoke at Leadership Brainery’s 2023 Graduate School Summit on November 4. Inomata spoke on the panel, “Law & Policy Industry Talk,” which covered the panelists’ graduate school journeys and how their education set the stage for their professional success. She was joined by panel members April English, Chief Secretary to Governor Maura Healey and Tony Richards, Vice President of Equitable Business Development at the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency. The panel was moderated by Fares Ali, Harvard Law School student and co-founder of LAUNCH Mentorship.

Inomata focuses her practice on Employment Law where she helps organizations navigate complex employment laws so they can successfully achieve their employment goals and mitigate risks associated with employment issues. She also represents executives and executive teams in transition with their employment arrangements. She serves on the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Women’s Initiative committees. 

Inomata is deeply involved in community service, including serving as a Trustee of the Boston Bar Foundation and on its Executive Committee and Grants Committee; on the Advisory Committee for the Women of Color Attorneys Leadership Forum; as the Chair of the GBH Board of Advisors and as a Trustee; and on the Steering Committee of the Asian Community Fund and the Asian Business Empowerment Council at the Boston Foundation. Inomata has been named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer for 15 years and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for a decade. She has also been awarded by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as a “Go To Employment Lawyer” and “Top Women of Law,” and by Boston Magazine as a "Top Lawyer." In 2023, she was named to Get Konnected!’s list of Boston’s 50 Most Influential Asian-American Pacific Islanders (AAPI).

Leadership Brainery is a nonprofit organization committed to combating inequitable access to graduate school and workforce leadership opportunities for underrepresented talent. They collaborate with prospective and current graduate students, academic institutions, employers and dedicated community members to remove systemic barriers to education and foster more inclusive communities. The Graduate School Summit is a day of workshops, industry talks, networking and recruiting for underrepresented talent looking to pursue an advanced degree.
